Just A Thought
For the past two weeks I have put more time into worship. Well, I could do much better. Worship gives us the opportunity to connect one on one with God to receive information, downloads, directions and guidance. It is so intimate and worth the time. I share a lot when I write these blog postings only that it may help someone else. I don't lie about my faith and where I am and where I need to grow. I want to be a super duper person of faith but I know I must grow to that.
From my worship time I wanted to share what the Holy Spirit told me shortly after because it made so much sense.
Trust the Lord. If you never step out of the boat how will you ever know you can walk on the water and/or that Jesus will save you if you begin to sink? If you do not give him anything to trust him for how will you find out you can trust him?
The Holy Spirit speaks so simply and to the point. How will I ever know? He has been speaking to me since about "getting out of the boat". He took me to the story of Peter seeing Jesus on the water and stepping out of the boat to go to Him. Wow... When Peter asked Jesus to bid him to come out and Jesus did so Peter was full of the Spirit of God without compromise, reasoning, logic or any doubt. He wholeheartedly trusted and believed Jesus. I know logic tells says, there is no way you are going to be able to walk on water. Don;t be nuts. But Peter stepped out. Reasoning and logic had no place at this point. It's amazing to me that if we can just give ourselves wholly over to trusting God the miraculous things that can occur in our lives. It wasn't until the winds picked up that fear, reasoning, logic begin to play apart but Jesus was there to keep him from drowning. He said Jesus help me and He did. This is so relative to what I have been going through right now.
After that in church during intercessory prayer Hiyasmin who was praying turned to me and said, "What God told you to do last night He says do it. It is time." I was like whaaaat?
After that while reading From Faith to Faith by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland a page kept opening up however I was reading on another page yet after a while decided to see what was there. There was a specific title "Stepping Out Of The Boat". This was no coincidence. Whaaaaaat?
And now my Pastor is doing a message "What Does God Expect From Me" and what did he read? It is impossible to please God without faith. You must believe that he is God and that he is the rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6) Whaaaaaaat? And faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). It is true. I look at myself and I see how hearing the Word more regularly changes my perspective on things and how much more quickly I can recall the scriptures and their addresses to make the enemy flee.
So I have definitely gotten my orders very clearly. Phase 1.
Sometimes for believers it is hard to admit you may not trust God in a certain area or many areas. I love God for his honesty. He will let you know if you don't know what is going on inside your heart if you care to listen. Since starting my music ministry Loud for Christ and now working to promote the album it has been by faith that things have gotten accomplished. All the time I am having to increase to a new level of faith. Just when I think I have a grip on it a new opportunity to reach a higher level presents itself. It is not always easy. Quite frankly it can be down right terrifying but that's where I need to confess the Word of God so terrifying can be on it's way and winning becomes eminent. My mom used to say "a smooth sea never made a skillful sailor". I say I prefer not attaining any skills, so keep the sea smooth. LOL.... but life is not a cop out. We will have challenges that are exciting, scarey, or hurtful yet that causes us to grow. I want to grow closer and closer to the Lord and trust Him. Ministry is a whole new way of life. Thank you Lord for calling, appointing and anointing me.
Bless you all. I pray your hearts are open to receive more of God and to give more to Him. There is no other refuge but God. He is the only way, the only truth and the only life. Bless His holy name for he is worthy. Trust Him. He only has great plans for your life.
